Living Stronger

Living Stronger

Regardless of where we are in life, we can always live stronger. Yes, we can.

Living stronger does not mean working out until you drop and you have biceps totally worthy – worthy enough that you stop complete strangers with this proclamation: “You wanna see my guns?” You provide these innocent people with a visual that you clearly lift things up and put them down.

Living stronger does not mean you have had a brush with death, whether it be a cancer diagnosis, a heart attack or you try to stabilize diabetes – and now you are ready to take drastic measures to avoid another round of avoiding death.

Living stronger does not mean a very complex, super complicated gluten free, fat free, sugar free, carb free, paleo-centric, vegetarian, diary free diet so you can fit into that itty bitty teeny weeny yellow polka dot Victoria’s Secret bikini especially when we may be super content in our Land’s End full coverage tanks. We are, after all, CURVY GIRLS (and yes, I did just put that tune into your head for the day)!

Who hasn’t promised themselves on January 1st of every year to instill better habits? Better yet, who hasn’t fallen off the resolution bandwagon by February 1st?

Change your life – starting now. NOW.

Seriously, what are you waiting for? Life - it flashes before our eyes – we are skidding into old age not even realizing we have missed some of our best CURVY GIRL DAYS!

Start small, but start strong:

Set goals that are obtainable to you. Realistically obtainable. Sure, we all want to conquer the world in a day – myself included. However, start with small goals that will make you feel good about your success. My challenge to you this week – write down five things that you want to change, what that change means to you and what you hope to achieve. Make it nutrition, physical fitness, mental health, or all of the above (or entirely different).

Share these goals with the people in your life. Let them know how important these changes are for you so they may support you. Further, invite a friend to make changes with you – even if they are not the same goals or changes – the positive reinforcement of a friend will be immensely motivating. Not only motivation being the driving factor, you will have accountability to someone other than yourself. Share with me – as in, you show me yours, I’ll show you mine! Yes, I love a good naked soul-baring! Or challenge me! (I can LIFT things up and put them down!)

Living stronger means you are ready to refresh yourself. Make an action plan for yourself for 2012 – one that will invigorate your mind and your body – an action plan that will leave you feeling your absolute best as you take on your world in the year ahead.

Living stronger means you LOVE yourself enough to embrace healthier changes
